To ensure best learning outcomes, we undertake one to one interaction and close clinical guidance & supervision for each participant - our clinical batch size is thus limited to maximum 10 participants for basic course and 5 participants for advanced course.

We offer Basic as well as Advanced Implantology Courses.

BASIC COURSE 

Implant surgery demands very meticulous protocols. Through this course, we work towards instilling a strong foundation among course participants - this shall enable them to understand the concepts clearly and place implants successfully. 

COURSE LEARNING OUTCOMES

You will be able to start doing the following independently & confidently:​

  • Do patient selection for implants by assessing key parameters for safe & predictable implant placement

  • Do Implant planning using CBCT/OPG

  • Place implants independently

  • Perform 2nd stage surgery independently

  • Give implant prosthesis independently

  • Manage implant related complications

 

There are 3 different types of courses in endodontics, the difference is mainly in number of cases, candidates can choose a course based on the required level of exposure.

COURSE SCHEDULE

PHASE 1 - SURGICAL PHASE

Day 1
 

Session 1: Foundations of Oral Implantology 

(Scope, Rationale, Fundamentals, Indications, Contraindications, Science of Osseointegration)

Session 2: Applied Anatomy of Maxilla & Mandible, Soft & Hard Tissue Considerations in Dental Implants

Session 3: Diagnosis and Imaging in Oral Implantology

Session 4: Implant Components & Equipment - Implant Design, Components, Implant Surgical Kit, Physio-dispenser etc.

Session 5: Hands on - Implant Placement on Saw Dust Models

Day 2

Session 1: Treatment Planning for Implants - Periodontal Considerations, Reverse Treatment Planning, etc.

Session 2: Patient Preparation, Sterilization & Asepsis, Surgical Steps

Session 3: Live surgery - Implant Placement Demonstration on Patient

Session 4: Hands on - Incision, Reflection of Flap, Suturing

Session 5: Each participant’s individual Implant case is discussed with Case Sheet, Study Cast, IOPA, CBCT and Implant Sizes are pre-determined

Day 3 Onwards - Implant Placement & Assistance

PHASE 2 - PROSTHETIC PHASE

(3-4 Months after Completion of Phase 1 i.e. Surgical Phase)

Session 1: Assessment of Osseointegration, Second Stage Procedure

Session 2: Aesthetics in Implantology, Soft & Hard Tissue Management

Session 3: Occlusal Considerations in Implantology

Session 4: Follow up & Re-assessment, Peri-Implantitis and Implant Failures

Session 5: Temporization, Impression Techniques, Abutment Selection, Loading Protocols

Session 6: Hands on - Impression Techniques on Models

Day 2 Onwards

Second Stage Procedure and Prosthetic Phase – Demonstration & Patient Work by Participants
